Prismatic Evolutions Eevee ex Super-Premium Collection pop report: the lifetime rate is out of date

Nearly half the copies PSA has graded on this promo since August 13, 2026 came back Gem Mint 10, and its lifetime figure of 23.7 percent says it happens far less often than that. Both are correct. At the September 20, 2026 pull the Prismatic Evolutions Eevee ex Super-Premium Collection pop report puts Eevee ex #174, the promo in the SV Black Star Promo set, at 5,234 Gem Mint 10s from 22,103 submissions. The 1,466 copies added since August 13 landed at 45.70 percent.

What the Prismatic Evolutions Eevee ex Super-Premium Collection pop report is actually counting

22,103 graded. 5,234 tens, 13,290 nines, 3,047 eights, 3 Authentic and 529 copies at a PSA 7 or lower. PSA added 1,179 more in the last reporting period against a 30 day trend of +15%.

A lifetime gem rate averages over everything ever submitted, so it is weighted toward whatever happened first and hardest. For this card that was 2025. The 23.7 percent on the board is largely a record of that year, being used to answer a question about a submission you would send tomorrow.

Which makes it worth checking that the recent number is real. Three separate snapshot pairs give the same answer: August 13 to September 16 returns 44.92 percent tens, September 16 to September 18 returns 50.00, September 18 to September 20 returns 56.41. GemRate publishes its own trailing 30 day gem rate for this row and read 45 on September 16, 2026, against the 44.92 those snapshots produce by hand. Two methods, one answer.

Nothing else in the promo block moved like this

Run that August 13 difference across every English row past 20,000 grades that added at least 100 cards in the window and you get 133 of them. Twenty went up. The median gave back 8.44 points. Eevee ex #174 is first at plus 22.02, seven points clear of the Latias ex Special Illustration Rare out of Surging Sparks.

Rank by ratio instead of points and the gap stops being a gap. This is the only row of the 133 whose window rate reaches even one and a half times its own lifetime rate. It reaches 1.93. Latias, in second, manages 1.44.

The tightest control group is the promo block Prismatic Evolutions printed around it, since those cards share a set, a year, a foil treatment and a grading queue. They did not share the direction. The Eevee #173 out of the Elite Trainer Box fell from 37.34 percent lifetime to 18.79 in the window, its Pokemon Center sibling from 25.67 to 7.22, and the Poster Collection trio all gave back double digits. The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex that travel together in the Premium Figure Collection nudged up 2.15 and 5.34. One card in the block doubled.

What a census this clean can and cannot tell you

Start with what is not happening. Only 2.39 percent of this census has ever landed at a PSA 7 or lower, and the September 16, 2026 grade ladder puts just 24 copies across grades 1 through 4. Cards are not arriving chewed up, bent or scratched past saving; they are arriving fine and stopping. 60.13 percent of every copy ever graded sits at a PSA 9, which is the widest share of any of those 133 English rows, a shade past the Unova Victini promo's 59.75.

Look at the card and the stopping point is not mysterious. The art runs edge to edge inside a thin band of rainbow gradient, so the frame that a grader measures centering against is a few millimetres of shifting colour, and any whitening on it shows against the colour rather than hiding in a black border. A promo like this does not need to be damaged to miss. It needs to be cut a hair off.

Which leaves the actual question. Submissions have slowed: across the 52 reading series GemRate carries for this row, ending September 16, 2026, the first ten readings average 467.6 new grades and the last ten average 254.2. Half the volume, roughly double the hit rate. That is what it looks like when submitters stop sending everything and start sending their best copies, and the published 23.7 percent is exactly the sort of thing that would make a person pre screen.

It is also what it looks like when people crack nines and send them back, and a pop report cannot separate the two. PSA does not retire the old certificate when a slab is broken, so a resubmitted ten adds to both the total and the 10 column and reads identically to a fresh card. The trade is live here rather than theoretical, since a PSA 9 cleared a $31.00 median across 13 sales between September 22 and September 30, 2026, which makes the cost of trying again that slab plus a fee. How many of the 670 new tens arrived that way is not something this data knows.

PokeUnlocked filmed this two days after the box hit shelves, and the open or hold question in the title is the one that decides whether this promo ever reaches a grader at all.

A chef cut seven fruits to make this picture

The credit line in the bottom left reads Illus. Natsuko Shoji été, which is not a studio. Shoji is a chef and patissier and the founder of été in Tokyo, and the Pokemon Company's own feature on the artists behind its 2025 cards calls her jewellery box style fruit tarts the match for the Terastal idea and says she built one specifically for this promo. Her restaurant posted the collaboration on December 7, 2024. By the published account she picked seven fruits and carved them into diamond shapes to stand in for the crystals over Eevee's head. The fruit Eevee is sitting on was a real tart before it was a card.

The box around it was ordinary enough. PokeBeach reported the contents on February 25, 2025: the Super-Premium Collection landed May 16, 2025 at $89.99 with 15 Prismatic Evolutions packs, a fuzzy Eevee deck box, a playmat, 65 sleeves, a code card and this one promo. No pack odds, no variants, one card per box. Prismatic Evolutions packs were the thing people wanted that year, and a card that comes free with fifteen of them gets treated like what it is.

Thirty four point seven is the number that decides it

Grading mathAmount
Raw copy (as of October 4, 2026)$20
PSA grading, Standard service$60
PSA 10 sale (as of October 4, 2026, PriceCharting sold medians)$216
PSA 9 sale (as of October 4, 2026, PriceCharting sold medians)$31
Margin if it gems+$136
Margin at PSA 9-$49

PSA's Standard tier costs $59.99 against a $1,000 maximum insured value with an estimated 90 to 100 business days, read off psacard.com on October 4, 2026, with the Value services still paused. On a $19.99 raw copy that is $79.98 out the door before a single card moves.

Gross margin is not the figure to run this on. Selling a slab on eBay gives back roughly 15 percent once fees and shipping settle, which turns the $216.00 PSA 10 median, taken across 14 sales between September 26 and September 30, 2026, into $183.60, and the $31.00 PSA 9 median into $26.35. At those payouts the gem rate that breaks even is 34.69 percent.

Now put the two rates beside it. The lifetime 23.7 percent sits roughly eleven points under breakeven and the trailing 45.70 sits roughly eleven points over it, which is as even a split as this question gets. Weight the window's grade mix against those net payouts and a submission hands back $97.44 on $79.98; weight the lifetime mix the same way and it hands back $62.61. One fee sheet, two opposite answers, and the only thing dividing them is which stretch of submissions you think describes yours.

Grade the number you can defend

If your copy is genuinely well centred inside that rainbow band and clean on the foil, the trailing rate is the one describing it and the submission clears breakeven with room. If you are sending it because it came free with fifteen packs, the lifetime rate is the honest forecast and it loses about seventeen dollars. The pre screen is the whole decision here, which is unusual; on most cards at this price the fee settles it before you ever look at the card.
